Three-time AFL premiership player Paul Chapman has been appointed coach of Greenvale.
The Essendon District Football League premier division side announced on Wednesday that the former Geelong and Essendon player would take the reins of the club next season.
Chapman, a Norm Smith Medallist, has signed on as a playing coach.
He replaces Shannon Grant who stood down after two seasons at the helm of the Jets.
Under Grant, the Jets played in a grand final last year before being knocked out in the preliminary final this year.
For Chapman, who retired from AFL at the end of 2015, it’s his second coaching role.
Chapman led Western Region Football League side Werribee Districts this year.
The two mutually parted ways at the end of the season.
The Tigers finished the season in fifth spot, before being knocked out of the finals in straight sets.
