Mill Park parted ways with coach Kevin Theuma just two weeks into the FV state league 2 north-west season.

The club posted a statement on its social media on Monday, saying it was making a coaching change.

“We have tonight parted ways with senior men’s coach Kevin Theuma and assistant coach George Giannakopoulos,” the statement said.

“We would like to thank Kev and George for their contribution to the club over the last four years and wish them both all the best in their future coaching careers.

“The club will now begin the process of appointing a senior men’s coach.”

Theuma told Star Weekly before the season started that they had unfinished business.

Last season, Mill Park fell just one point short of promotion to the state league 1 north-west competition. It was his first full season coaching the club.

Mill Park appointed Theuma in late 2019, having previously tried to get him to the club.

His first season at the club resulted in no games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while the side was fourth in 2021 when the season was cut short.

Mill Park has started this season with draws against Westvale Olympic and Albion Rovers.

Mill Park is set to face Altona East Phoenix this Saturday.
