A meeting is set to decide Keilor’s opponent for the Essendon District Football League premier division women’s grand final, after the preliminary final was called off on Saturday.
Multiple sources have told Star Weekly the game between Oak Park and Westmeadows at Highgate Reserve was called following an altercation on half time.
It was not recommenced after half time for the safety of all involved.
Oak Park was leading at the time, 3.3 (21)-0.1 (1).
It is understood a decision on the match and who will play Keilor will be decided by EDFL officials on Monday.
Both clubs and the league has been contacted for comment.
It comes after the division 1 preliminary final was halted earlier in the day at Craigieburn due to lightning in the area.
The match resumed with Strathmore winning through to the grand final.
