The Plenty Valley Lions have announced that they have parted ways with their coaching group just four rounds into the FV state league 3 north-west season.
It’s been a winless season for the Lions in the higher grade so far, with the side having no points at the Easter break.
“After a period of deliberation, the executive committee has decided to amicably part ways with senior coaches David Windon and Emmet Sheehan,” club president Michael Tsakmakis said in a statement online.
“This was not an easy one to make; both David and Emmet assisted our club through harsh times and have helped guide our success through the past years.
“We sincerely wish David and Emmet all the best for their progressing careers and challenges. Their presence within our establishment is always welcome.”
The pair led the Lions to the state league 4 west title last season, finishing one point clear on top of the table.
The Lions face Brunswick Zebras in their next match on April 26.
