Laurimar remain unbeaten in division 3 of the Northern Football League despite a scare from South Morang on Saturday.
With the Lions also sitting inside the top four, Laurimar was made to work hard to get the result, coming from behind in the last quarter to take a narrow win.
In a low-scoring contest, Laurimar prevailed 7.13 (55) to 7.6 (48).
With plenty to prove, South Morang had the better of the early exchanges as it made the most of some errant Power kicking to lead by three points at the first break.
The ladder leaders kicked just two goals from eight shots for the term.

The Lions extended their advantage in the second quarter to enjoy a 19-point buffer at half-time, but Laurimar clawed their way back into the contest in the third quarter to cut the lead to just two-points entering the last term.
From there the class of the Power shone through, with South Morang managing just one more shot on goal for the game.
Michael Brennan and Jacob Lawson bagged two goals each for the victors, while Jake Potter was the only multiple goal scorer for the Lions.
Despite the loss, South Morang remains in fourth place on the table, while the Power strengthened its hold on top spot.
Elsewhere, Mernda ground out a dour win over West Heidelberg, 6.9 (45) to 4.12 (36), and Reservoir endured a tough match with Kilmore as it went down by 87 points.
