Laurimar clinch another T20 victory

An impressive bowling performance from Laurimar’s Joshua Deans-Draper helped the team clinch a victory against Plenty in round three of the Northern Region T20 competition on Tuesday.

The Power restricted Plenty to 6-134, with Deans-Draper taking 4-15,

In reply the Power’s Luke Richardson was the standout, making 61 not out as his side finished 2-138.

The win clinched top spot in its pool after the pool matches.

Thomastown United’s Jake McSwain dominated with the bat making 92 in the match against Keon Park Football.

The Kookaburras finished their innings with 9-215.

A strong bowling performance from the Kookaburras restricted Keon Park to 4-114. Michael Soosaipillai took 2-11.

The win though wasn’t enough to seal top spot in their pool

Epping defeated Whittlesea in its pool five match with an even performance at bat and bowl.

For Epping, John Kulikowski and Nathan Gardiner the standouts, making 71 and 64 respectively, as the side made 4-212.

The Eagles never looked likely, bowled out for 138.

Kulikowski backed up his performance with the bat, taking 5-11.

In the other pool five game Lalor Stars beat Mernda.

The Stars elected to bat, with Adam Abbas performing best, making 62, and the team finished their innings 6-158.

The Stars bowlers then did the job, bowling for 96.

Joshua Nixon and Patrick Taylor took three wickets each.

The Stars finished their pool games on top of their pool.

Bundoora Park defeated Rivergum in its pool two match with a solid bowling performance.

The Kookas finished their innings 5-121, with Satnam Parmar and Thilina Herath taking two wickets each for the Thunderbolts.

The Thunderbolts claimed the victory 3-127 with just under eight overs remaining, with Satnam Singh top scoring

South Morang won its pool seven match against Mill Park.

Mill Park finished its innings 6-128, with Nathan Andrews the standout, making 77 not out.

It was a solid bowling performance from South Morang, with the wickets being shared round.

South Morang got the job done, finishing 2-131 with just under three overs remaining.

Bundoora won against Old Paradians and Bundoora United lost against Riverside.

Old Ivanhoe, Banyule, Rosanna, Research Eltham Collegians, Lower Eltham, Eltham, Donath, Cameron, Preston Baseballers, and Olympic Colts all recorded wins.

Eight teams will progress through to the finals. All pool winners except Riverside finished on six points, having won all their games.
