Lalor United had a day out against Altona North in the FV state league 2 north-west on Saturday.
There were early signs that it was going to be a good day for Lalor scoring twice in the first five minutes.
Lalor made it a 4-0 lead after 28 minutes, before Altona North got one back before half time.
Lalor continued on its goal scoring ways in the second half, winning 7-1.
Yeton Salievski and Aamir Abdallah scored twice each for Lalor.
Lalor now sits eighth on the ladder.
In other results, Hume United had a 3-3 draw with Hoppers Crossing.
The Reds scored twice in the first half to lead 2-0 at the break, before Hume hit back with three goals in 26 minutes to take the lead.
The Reds left it late, but scored an equaliser in the fourth minute of injury time, to come away with a point.
Mill Park had a tough day against Westvale Olympic, losing 4-1.
Westvale opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before Mill Park hit back five minutes later.
The scores wouldn’t stay level for long, with Westvale getting its second minute later.
Two second half goals sealed the win for Westvale.
Epping City had a 2-0 loss to Altona East Phoenix.
In state league 1 north-west, Upfield beat Whittlesea Ranges 3-2 on Friday night.
Upfield opened the scoring in the 12 minute and doubled the lead three minutes later.
The lead became 3-0 just after half time when Masatou Chiba scored his second and his side’s third goal.
The Ranges got one back in the 74th minute, before a late consolation goal to reduce the score line.
Upfield sits fifth on the ladder, while the Ranges are in 10th spot, having lost their last three games.
On Saturday, Whittlesea United had a 1-1 draw with Brimbank Stallions.
United hit the scoreboard early through Emile Damey before going a man down in the 30th minute.
Aaron Smith scored just after half time to level the scores for the Stallions, with United able to hold on despite being a man down.
The Stallions sit in sixth with 17 points, while Whittlesea is in fourth spot.
