The Greenvale Kangaroos finished a tough Victorian Premier Cricket season on a high, with a rare win.
Wins have been few and far between for the Kangaroos, but a couple of individual performances helped them get across the line against Kingston Hawthorn in a thriller.
The Kangaroos made 191 in their innings with English import making 113 off 152 balls.
The Hawks made a solid start to their innings and at 2-103 were in control of the game and were still in front at 4-118.
The Hawks then lost 3-2 to give the Kangaroos some hope. The wickets continued to fall and the Hawks slipped to 8-185, needing six to win.
The last two wickets fell for just two, to give the Kangaroos the win. The Hawks were bowled out for 186.
Michael Archer was the destroyer for the Kangaroos, taking 7-63, his best figures for the club.
Despite the win, the Kangaroos finished bottom with just two wins.
