Whittlesea has parted ways with premiership winning coach Blair Harvey.

The Northern Football League division 1 side issued a statement on Friday confirming that Harvey’s time at the club was over.

“The Whittlesea Football Netball Club would like to advise that Blair Harvey is no longer the senior coach of the club,” the statement said.

“The WFNC sincerely thanks Blair for his contribution and commitment to the club since 2019. The WFNC wishes Blair, Brooke and the kids all the best for the future.

“Whilst this has been a challenging week for the club, we now get back to the footy and focus on the big weekend ahead.”

The senior coaching panel is now made up of Jimmy Robinson, Jarrod Waite and Luke Russell.

Harvey took over coaching the side in 2019 and led them to a division 2 premiership in his first season.

Last season they were sitting ninth when the season ended early due to COVID-19.

After eight rounds this season, the club sits bottom but is one of three teams on two wins.

The likes of Blake Watson, Waite, Zach Molloy and Cameron Wild have played limits minutes due to Victorian Football League commitments and injury.

The statement said that senior assistant coach Matt Glenn had resigned.
