Greenvale Kangaroos’ good late season form has continued with the side on track for a third win in four games in Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division.
Winless after 10 matches, the Kangaroos have won their past two two-day matches and are well on way to victory against Strathmore.
The only loss in that time came against Seddon in a catch up one-day match.
In the match against Strathmore, the Kangaroo bowlers and batsmen combined to do the job on day one.
The Kangaroos sent Strathmore in and that proved to be the right decision, as they bowled the opposition out for 8-142.
Skipper Tallan Wright and Jacob Thompson took three wickets apiece for the Kangaroos.
Sameen Kandanearachchi and Matthew Lucente then did a good job with the bat to have their side 1-90 after day one.
Tullamarine’s tough season continues with the side already conceding first-innings points against Seddon.
The Demons, who will finish last and face relegation, were bowled out for 52.
Seddon passed that total with ease and finished day one at 9-196.
In north-west division, Craigieburn is looking to finish its season on a high against Laverton.
The Eagles bowled Laverton out for 145 before getting to 2-43 at stumps.
A win would give the Eagles four wins after being promoted during the off-season.

The Warriors bowled St Andrews out for 128, with Sathpath Kamburugamuwa taking 6-12.
Warriors skipper Tarek Moughanie didn’t waste any time with the bat, helped his side to first innings points.
The Warriors finished the day at 1-129. Moughanie was 95 not out at stumps, his third score of 90 or above in the last four matches.
