Greenvale Kangaroos are hoping for a change of fortunes in the final two rounds of Victorian Premier Cricket.
Having struggled all season, the Kangaroos have gone from bad to worst in the past two matches with back-to-back outright losses.
At the weekend, the Kangaroos were no match for Monash Tigers.
Electing to bat, the Kangaroos were bowled out for 159, with Alex Mellor the bright spark. His 62 was his highest score this season.
The Tigers wasted no time getting the runs, making 4-160 in 49 overs before declaring and sending the Kangaroos back in.
It was the right decision, with the Kangaroos again struggling with the bat.
This time, they were bowled out for 87 in under 50 overs.
Skipper Kyle Adams, batting at nine, top scored with 16.
Five players scored between 12 and 16, but no one could go on with it.
While the Tigers had plenty of time to nail the win, Victorian player Dan Christian wasted no time in getting the runs.
He made 65 not out off 37 balls, including eight fours and a six, as the Tigers finished 0-87.
The loss leaves the Kangaroos in bottom place and percentage behind Casey-South Melbourne.
The Kangaroos will face Camberwell Magpies over the next two weekends.
