Whittlesea United has locked in its man to lead it into next year’s Victorian Premier League 2 season.
Whittlesea narrowly avoided relegation after its first season in the VPL2 competition, with the fight for spots coming down to the final round.
With its spot secured, Whittlesea has turned to Ivan Franjic to be its coach into the future.
Andrew Marth had been the club’s coach, but the two parted company midway through this year.
“Whittlesea United is proud to announce Ivan Franjic as our new senior men’s head coach for the 2026 VPL2 season,” Whittlesea United said on social media.
“Ivan brings incredible experience to Hilalspor — from representing the Socceroos at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and winning the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, to lifting multiple A-League championships with Brisbane Roar.
“An A-Licence accredited coach, Ivan has already made his mark in the coaching world, including as head coach at Melbourne Knights, and now brings his leadership and vision to Whittlesea United.”
