The Northern Knights next generation of female players will get to learn first hand from former Knights players who are stepping into coaching.
The Knights announced their five future girls coaches for next year, with all five having come through the Knights system.
Former number one draft Gabby Newton will be involved at the club in the coaching side for a second straight season. While injured earlier this year, she returned to the Knights and was an assistant coach.
Newton returned to the field for AFLW season seven, winning the Western Bulldogs leading goal kicker award.
Maddy Guerin, who is now at Carlton, was also an assistant coach at the Knights this year.
Brent Wallace, who is an AFL umpire, is part of the coaching panel along with Knights premiership players Sarah Sansonetti
and Jess Fitzgerald, who play for Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs respectively.
