The final pool rounds have been played and finals spots filled. Here’s a wrap up of the final pool matches on Tuesday night.
In group, A1, PEGS lost to Haig Fawkner.
PEGS made 7-163 from their overs with skipper Carlos Maynard top scoring with 53.
Haig timed the run chase to perfection, hitting the winning runs with two balls remaining.
Aberfeldie and Airport West St Christophers were the other winners.
Haig Fawkner finished top of the pool after going through undefeated.
In Group A2, there were some big scores put on the board on Tuesday night.
Sunshine United continued its good form with a big win against St Albans.
The Tigers made 2-197 from their over with Leniko Boucher continuing his good form with 85.
The Saints finished 8-108 in reply. Daniel Raniolo took 4-28 for the Tigers.
Deer Park also piled on the runs, making 6-200 against Newport-Digman.
Shakille Elhouli took three wickets for the Bulls but was expensive.
The Bulls never got close, finishing 5-146.
Altona North claimed the win in the other group B match.
Grand United batted first and made 8-133 from its overs.
Hamza Ali played a lone hand with 53.
After losing some early wickets, Altona North finished 5-136 to get the win. Ben Allison scored 45.
Despite the loss, Grand United finished on top of the group, quotient ahead of Deer Park with both having four wins.
In group A3, Westmeadows got the job done against the Druids.
The Wizards were bowled out with one ball remaining for 122.
Sonara Pilippuhewa top scored with 48 for the Wizards.
The Warriors were patient throughout their innings getting the winning runs with eight balls remaining.
The Warriors made 2-125 with Clayton Campbell top scoring with 57 not out.
Oak Park St Francis de Sales had a big win against Sunbury.
Sunbury was bowled out for just 74 with Ethan Connelly top scoring with 17.
The Saints made the runs in just nine overs, finishing 4-62.
Keilor also claimed victory on Tuesday night.
The Blues made 7-137 from their overs against Footscray United.
Dimuth Karunarathna made 61 not out.
The Bulldogs finished 8-121 in reply. Will Sheffield made 51.
Oak Park St Francis de Sales finished on top ahead of Keilor.
In group A4, Sunshine snuck home against Maribyrnong Park St Marys.
The Lions made 4-145 from their overs. Arosh Janoda took three wickets for the Crows.
The Crows got a single off the final ball to claim the win, finishing 7-146.
Yarraville Club and Williamstown Imperials were the other winners.
The Clubbers made 7-159 against fellow senior division side, Sydenham-Hillside.
Dilan Chandima made 85 at the top of the order for the Clubbers.
Stefon King took 3-21 for the Storm.
After being in trouble at 3-46, the Storm never recovered and finished 6-132.
Anthony Alleyne top scored with 76 not out.
Seddon batted first in its match with the Imperials, making 7-122.
Harry Hudson top scored with 35 not out.
The Imperials finished 6-126 in reply.
Sunshine finished atop the table ahead of the Imperials.
Meanwhile in group B1, Greenvale Kangaroos got the win against East Keilor, East Coburg beat Glenroy and Keilor’s second side beat Pascoe Vale Hadfield.
East Coburg finished atop the table with the Kangaroos in second.
In group B2, Barkly St Uniting produced the highest score of the round, with 2-209 against West Newport.
Kamalpreet Singh made 119 not out to guide his side to the large total.
The Lions finished 8-144 in reply. Amit Nayyar top scored with 49.
Bellbridge was able to get the job done against Burnside Springs United.
Burnside made 7-100 from its 20 overs. Joel Croswell took 3-17 for the Bears.
The Bears made hard work of the run chase, but did enough to finish 6-103.
Three players took two wickets each for Burnside.
St Andrew’s Footscray got the job done against Werribee Centrals.
The Saints made 5-133 from their overs.Kastun Stoute top scored with 52 not out.
The Centurions finished 8-102 in reply.
Barkly St finished on top ahead of Burnside.
While in group B3, Sunshine Heights had a big win against Wyndham Vale.
Heights made 6-179 from their overs with the runs spread across the top order.
The Vales were restricted to 7-78. Peter Hatzoglou took 4-8 from his four overs.
Laverton upset Point Cook in its match.
The Warriors were bowled out for just 80. Khalid Farooq took 4-15 for Laverton.
Laverton made the runs with four overs remaining, finishing 3-84.
Kingsville also finished the pool matches with a win, beating Point Cook Centrals.
The Sharks made 7-147 from their overs.
Kingsville got the runs with seven balls remaining, finishing 5-148.
