The final round of the Victorian Premier Cricket season will be Sunny Fernando’s last as Greenvale Kangaroos coach.
In a statement from Kangaroos’ president Bruce Kent, the club announced that Fernando would be finishing up.
“As a number of our players and supporters may be aware, Sunny Fernando will be leaving us as the senior men’s coach at the end of the season and will pursue other opportunties.
“We wish Sunny all the best and will have a proper opportunity to thank him for all his work over the last three seasons at the presentation night.
“At the moment, we are all concentrating on winning the last game of the season against Geelong.”
The Kangaroos have one win for the season, as they again struggled to get results.
Kent said the club will now be seeking expressions of interest and applications for suitable candidates for the coaching role for 2026-27 and beyond.
