Craigieburn caused the upset of the weekend in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division as it made it three wins in a row.

With back-to-back matches on Saturday and Sunday, it was a big weekend in the context of the season.

Just two teams came away with wins in both matches, Craigieburn and Aberfeldie.

Craigieburn started the weekend with victory against St Albans on Saturday.

The Saints were bowled out for 154 with Arosh Janoda top scored 57.

Zac Orr was the pick of the bowlers with 3-24.

The Eagles managed to get the winning runs with three overs to spare, finishing 5-155.

The Eagles then held their nerve on Sunday against the previously undefeated Haig Fawkner.

Haig was bowled out for 140 with five overs remaining with Jaspreet Bhatti the only batsman to get going with 64.

Jake Carlisle took three wickets for the Eagles.

The Eagles managed to get to 5-102 with the bat, before the wickets started falling. The final wicket partnership needed to get seven for victory.

They did, with the Eagles finishing 9-143.

Sammy Laffan top scored with 37.

The wins moves the Eagles to sixth.

Westmeadows split its two matches on the weekend.

On Saturday it accounted for the Druids in a thrilling contest.

The Druids were bowled out for 164 on the final ball.

Andrew Brennan top scored with 36. Donovan Pell and Jackson Smith took three wickets each for the Warriors.

The Warriors managed to just get across the line, finishing 9-165.

Pell top scored with 30 at the top of the order.

On Sunday, the Warriors lost to Aberfeldie.

The Warriors made 6-182 from their overs with Clayton Campbell top scoring with 57.

Abers got off to a solid start and were able to build throughout, finishing 7-183.

Rhys Gleisner and Pathum De Mel took three wickets each.

In other results on Saturday, Yarraville Club beat Sunshine United, Haig Fawkner was too good for Deer Park and Aberfeldie beat Keilor.

On Sunday, the Druids beat Yarraville Club, Keilor got the win against Deer Park and Sunshine United was too strong for St Albans.
