Six Greenvale players were among those named in the Essendon District Football League division 1 women’s team of the year.
The league announced the men’s and women’s division 1 teams of the year ahead of the men’s division one grand final.
Amy Hakim, Chanel Caruso, Zoe Hardiman, Alisa Magri, Nicolette Paschalis and Terira Fry were named in the women’s division 1 team of the year after helping the Jets to a second straight grand final appearance.
Despite not getting many wins on the board, Tullamarine had three players named in the team.
Tricia Devine, Fallon Courts and Courtney Annett all had strong seasons for the Demons as they returned to division one.
In the men’s division 1 team of the year, Craigieburn’s Jake Carlisle was named in the team in his first season back at the club after his AFL career.
Roxburgh Park’s Jack Elliott and Cooper McPharlane were also named in the team.
