The North West Metropolitan, Diamond Valley and North Metro cricket associations cancelled play on Saturdays for a third straight week.

Round one was played in the top grades in those three competitions.

While the men were left on the side lines again, it was hoped that some women’s matches would be played today.

The NWMCA required teams to report to grounds for the opening round of their women’s social T20 competition.

It was the same for the Victorian Premier women’s competition which has played three rounds already.

Plenty Valley was due to face Dandenong in the firsts one-day competition.

In the seconds T20 competition, Greenvale Kangaroos’ game didn’t get underway due to the condition of the ground.
