Craigieburn City, Campbellfield win through

It was a mixed weekend for local sides in the second round of qualifying for the Victorian stage of the FFA Cup.

State league 5 sides and lower ranked state league 4 sides entered the competition with hopes of making it through to the main competition.

Second year club Craigieburn City won through to the main draw defeating Spring Hills, 2-1.

Campbellfield Lions, in their first FFA Cup qualifying match ever, won through to the main draw on penalties against Monash City.

Scores were level 1-1 at full time, with the Lions winning the penalty shoot out, 4-3.

Maidstone United defeated Bundoora United 2-0, while Meadow Park lost to Chisholm United 2-1.

Plenty Valley Lions forfeited their match against Cobram Roar.
