Bundoora Park will be aiming for its second premiership this season after making it through to the Diamond Valley Cricket Association Money Shield grand final.
Having already won the Northern Region T20 title, the Thunderbolts will next weekend face Rosebank in the Money Shield grand final.
The Thunderbolts did the damage with the bat in their preliminary final win against minor premiers Bundoora United.
After being sent in, the Thunderbolts made 5-228 from their overs. Rubal Singh-Dhillon was the star of the show, making 99.
It was all single wicket takers for the Bulldogs with the opening bowling partnership of Scott Barnett and Myer Zealley both bowled tightly.
After losing both openers cheaply, the Bulldogs continued to lose frequent wickets.
They would be bowled out for 126.
Glen Turner and Barnett scored with 32 apiece.
Singh-Dhillon, Thilina Herath and Satnam Parmar took two wickets apiece.
In the Barclay Shield, Epping has again just fallen short of a grand final appearance, after losing to Heidelberg.
Heidelberg made 8-170 from its overs, with captain Justin Whitcher top scoring with 55.
John Kulikowski took 4-30 off nine overs for the Pingers.
The Pingers lost two early wickets to be 2-10 and were soon 4-30. They could continue to lose wickets in pairs for most of the match.
The match would go down to the final over, with the Pingers falling just short, making 9-165.
Tom Emmins made 70, while John Lever made 32 before being run out searching for runs late.

In the Mash Shield, Hurstbridge beat Mill Park to seal a grand final berth.
The Tigers were bowled out for 115 in the 41st over as just three players reached double figures.
Justin Lyon top scored with 30 not out.
After losing 4-30 to be 5-77, Hurstbridge recovered to make the runs with more than five overs remaining.
Hurstbridge finished 5-119. Mitch McAuley took three wickets.
Hurstbrigde will face Laurimar in the grand final.
