Plenty Valley returned to the winners list in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association north-west on Saturday.
While the sun was out, there was still rain which affected many matches in the north-west competition, including the Bats match with Ivanhoe that was decided by the Duckworth Lewis Stern method.
The Bats batted first and made 8-192 from their overs.
Alex Cole top scored with 50 not out off as many balls.
Ivanhoe was bowled out for 159 in the 35th over. to give the Bats the win.
Skipper Simon Black took 4-33 to be the pick of the bowlers.
The win was the Bats third and moves them up to 13th on the ladder.
Meanwhile, in women’s Victorian Premier Cricket, the Bats T20 campaign came to an end with a loss against Prahran.
The Bats were bowled out for just 66 with skipper Jasmine Nevins the only player to score double figures, making 23.
The Bats made Prahran work hard for the win, but Prahran hit the winning runs with seven balls to spare, finishing 7-67.
Nevins and Rituja Talekar took two wickets each.
The Bats finished in fifth spot.
