Plenty Valley had a difficult start to its round two, two-day clash with Taylors Lakes in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association.

Taylors Lakes won the toss and sent Plenty Valley out to bat, which proved to be a good decision in tough batting conditions.

Plenty Valley lost six wickets for its first 38 runs, before Dilawar Ali and Troy Haynes managed to make a little partnership, top scoring with 19 and 22 respectively.

The Bats were only able to put up 103 runs from their 45 overs.

The Lions then went in to bat with 27 overs of play still left in the day.

The Bats seemed to be off to a good start, having the Lions at 2-25, however they were able to dig in, not losing another wicket to get to 59.

The Lions now need 45 to win.
