Another win for Bundoora and Whittlesea’s top sides

Bundoora RSL has another win under its belt in Bowls Victoria pennant premier division.

Facing Croydon on the weekend in round two, Bundoora took home the win although the rinks were evenly split.

Gary Kelly rink won 26-15, while Josh Corless’ skipped his team to victory with 17-12.

Croydon won the other two rinks, with Bundoora winning overall, 81 (14)-74 (4).

Bundoora comes up against Yarraville Footscray this weekend.

Whittlesea played a strong game against Sunbury in the division 1, section 1 competition.

Three out of the four rinks were claimed by Whittlesea, with Nicholas McIntyre, Robert Millar and Benjamin Winther skipping their teams to victory.

Guy Spiden lost his rink,18-16.

Whittlesea won overall, 88 (16)-58 (2).

It will face Aberfeldie CBC this weekend.

In the division 1, section 2 competition, Whittlesea’s second side remains without a win.

On Saturday, it lost to Diamond Creek, after last week was washed out.

Whittlesea won one rink, with Geoggrey Aldous skipping his team to a 27-10 victory.

Diamond Creek won two rinks, with the other rink ending with a 17-17 all draw.

Whittlesea will play against Warburton this weekend.

Bundoora’s second side were victorious against Ivanhoe, finishing 78 (16)-59 (2).

Three rinks were claimed by Bundoora, with Nat Schiavello, Luke Aiello and Louie Cenagdzija skipping their rinks to victory.

Brian King’s rink lost 22-13.

Bundoora will play against Mooroolbark this weekend.
