Taylors Lakes may not have come away with the four points in Essendon District Football League division 1 on Saturday, but it was still a massively rewarding weekend for the club.
Former West Coast Eagles premiership Daniel Kerr spent much of the weekend down at the club, in what was a massive coup for the club.
Kerr helped take training for some of the junior teams on Friday night, with the kids loving having him in attendance.
He then played with the senior side on Saturday against West Coburg.
Unfortunately for the Lions, Kerr couldn’t help them get the four points, with the side losing 17.17 (119)-13.7 (85).
Kerr stuck around after the game and was a speaker at the club’s sportsman function alongside Jimmy Bartel, Daniel Schwarz and Bruce Eva.
Taylors Lakes this week has the bye.
