FFA Cup: Northern United out of race after loss to Laverton Park

Northern United, including Alfonso Rodriguez, made an early departure from the national FFA Cup after losing 4-1 to Laverton Park in the first round of Victorian results on Saturday.

Bundoora United and North City Wolves won through to the second round but Plenty Valley Lions and Meadow Park were knocked out.

More than 600 clubs have entered the 2015 competition after the spectacular success of the inaugural cup last season.
