DVCA: Plenty’s Steven Villani hits ton against Bundoora United

A century to Steven Villani put Plenty in a good position against Bundoora United in the Diamond Valley Cricket Association’s Barclay Shield on Saturday.

Villani made almost half his team’s score, with 102 out of 223 on day one of the clash.

Umar Razaq was best of the bowlers with 6-75.

Bundoora lost its first match of the competition – all out for 99 chasing Lower Eltham’s 7-139.

Bundoora United had no troubles in its win against Preston Footballers.

After keeping the Footballers’ score to 90, United made the total for the loss of only one wicket.

Other winners include Hurstbridge, Rosanna, Preston Baseballers, Eltham, Macleod, Northern Socials and Preston Druids.

The final round of the group stage is on November 25.
