Epping’s players have shown faith in the club in the Northern Football League despite its relegation to division 3 for next season.
Pingers coach Steve Power said 98 per cent of the list had signed on for the 2015 season.
The Pingers dropped to division 3 after winning only five games in 2014.
“It shows a lot of resolve from the players to stay with the club,” Power said.
“It was always going to be tough to keep all the boys, but they sat down and they realised that we had unfinished business.
“Most of the boys aren’t just players of the club, but are also supporters, so they want to see us successful.”
“There’s clubs like Mernda and Thomastown who have gone straight back [up] and we would like to do that.”
Power said the players who had left the club could be replaced and there were younger players looking to step up into the top side.
“We had very young [players] this year and we identified that we needed to add some players with bigger bodies.
“A key defender, a forward and a midfielder were our aims. We’re recruited four players from NFL division 1 to help with that.”
The Pingers start training on Monday night.
“The boys are pretty keen to get back on the track and forget about last season.”
