Commonwealth Games: Miao Mia, Jian Fang Lay to go for bronze

Broadmeadows table tennis players Miao Miao and Bundoora’s Jian Fang Lay will play for bronze in the team’s event, after defeating Wales 3-0.

Footscray Resilience Training Centre’s Jake Andrewartha won a bronze medal in the judo at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Andrewartha, one of six atheletes from the centre at the games, won bronze in the 100+kg event defeating Parikshit Kumar.

Mark Anthony, in the 90kg event, wasn’t so lucky losing his bronze medal match to Scotland’s Andrew Burns.
