Jacana continues to stake its claims for a top four spot in the Essendon District Football League division 2, with a 74-point win against East Sunbury on Monday.
East Sunbury entered the game full of confidence after its first ever win last week, but was quickly brought back to reality with the Jaguars piling on seven goals to three in the first quarter.
The pain didn’t end there for the Thunder, as the Jaguars continued to control the game in general play and on the scoreboard.
The final score was 23.18 (156) to 12.10 (82).
Michael Evans kicked six goals for the Jaguars with Adam Gough chipping in with five majors.
Daniel Sacco was best on ground.
For the Thunder, James Wakeling kicked five goals, while Jonathon Jess kicked four goals.
The win sees the Jaguars move to fourth on the ladder.
The rest of division 2 round nine matches will be played this week.
