Greenvale remains in the bottom four on the Victorian Premier Cricket table after a narrow one-wicket loss to Ringwood on Saturday.
The Kangaroos were bowled out for 173 in 78.1 overs on day one of the clash, with James Lidgett’s 33 the best score.
They snared a wicket before stumps, Dominic Reed getting Nathan Walsh leg before for nine to leave Ringwood 1-25.
And the early wicket of Ian Holland on day two, bowled by Reed for 11, gave Greenvale a sniff with Ringwood reeling at 2-28.
David King and Tom Stray went about resurrecting the innings and pushed the score along to 75 before Chris Marantelli snared King for 37 and Stray for 24.
With the top four back in the sheds and keeper Joe Loorham (22) and Daniel Rawson (0) following suit, the Kangaroos sensed victory.
Three more quick wickets reduced the Rams to 9-159 before Blair Allan (16) and Michael Topp (2) steered Ringwood home.
Reed was outstanding for the Roos with 6-69 from 20 overs, while Marantelli chimed in with 2-30 from 13 overs and Carl Sandri took 1-24.
