Northcote City is the top team in Victorian soccer after winning the Victorian men’s premier league grand final 3-2 against Bentleigh Greens at AAMI Park on Saturday.
Locked 1-1 at full time, the teams went to extra time and Marinos Gasparis scored the winner in the 113th minute.
Hayden D’Agostino put Northcote City in front after just 12 minutes and Ryan De Vries’ equalised in the 68th.
Luke Sherbon then gave Bentleigh the lead three minutes into extra time, only for Milos Lujic to equalise in the 104th minute.
Bentleigh’s Luke Pilkington was sent off three minutes after coming on as an extra-time substitute.
