Woman dies in Westmeadows collision

A woman has died following a fatal collision in Westmeadows on Friday, August 8.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Mickleham road about 6.55pm on Friday night.

The pedestrian, a 52-year-old Westmeadows woman, died at the scene and the driver of the car, a 22-year-old Westmeadows man was left uninjured and spoke with police.

Police are currently investigating the details of the collision and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

The incident brings the total lives lost on Victorian roads this year to 183.
