A Dallas woman has been arrested after an allegedly stolen car crashed into a Coolaroo home in the early hours of Thursday morning, May 8.
Police spotted a red Mazda 6, believed to have been stolen from a Fawkner address earlier in the week, travelling along Sydney Road about 3.15am.
When police attempted to intercept the vehicle, it allegedly sped off before officers lost sight of it.
A short time later, the Mazda was found near the corner of Blair Street and Barry Road, where it had crashed into a brick fence and a house.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.
No one inside the home was injured, and the house sustained only minor damage.
The woman was taken into custody and interviewed by police before being released pending summons.
She is expected to be charged with a string of offences including driving while disqualified, failing an oral fluid test, handling stolen goods and possessing a drug of dependence.
The investigation into the car theft is ongoing.
