Winter works on Craigieburn Road

Work on the Craigieburn Road Upgrade is progressing this winter.

Access to Champion Parade from Craigieburn Road will be closed until 5am, Friday, August 5. Detours will be in place.

Meanwhile the intersection of Cimberwood Drive and Craigieburn Road Service Road is closed until 5pm, Friday, August 19.

During this time, bus route 537 in both directions will not service the Clovelly Drive and Cimberwood bus stops.

There’ll be signage in place to guide you to the nearest alternative stop.

Lanes on the Hume Highway will be closed in both directions Monday to Friday until July 29 between 7am and 5pm.

There’ll also be no right turn from Hume Highway southbound to Craigieburn Road between 7am and 5pm from Wednesday, July 27 to Saturday, July 30. Detours in place.

The northbound lanes on the highway and both right turn lanes from the highway southbound to Craigieburn Road will be closed on Tuesday, July 26 and Wednesday, July 27 between 8pm and 5am.

During this time there’ll also be no access to Hume Highway southbound from Craigieburn Road. Detours will be in place.

Crews will also be stopping traffic at times along Craigieburn Road between 7.30am and 5pm on Friday, July 29 to install new street lighting poles between Dorchester Street and Clovelly Drive.

Major Road Projects Victoria is encouraging locals to continue supporting local businesses during major construction as crews complete this important infrastructure upgrade.

As part of the upgrade, crews will change how you access a number of local streets and driveways that connect to Craigieburn Road.

To see if your street or access is impacted, please visit the Access Changes page on Victoria’s Big Build website.
