Whittlesea teens charged over aggravated burglaries

Three Whittlesea teenagers have been charged following a spate of alleged burglaries across Melbourne.

The teens were among four males arrested by police outside Pacific Epping at about 11.30am on March 8.

Police allege that 17-year-olds from Bundoora and Mill Park and a 15-year-old from Thomastown were involved in an aggravated burglary in Kew and subsequent burglaries in Keilor East, Greensborough and Montmorency that same morning.

They are also being investigated over an aggravated burglary in Malvern in which two vehicles were stolen and a burglary in Doncaster on March 8.

The teenagers have been charged with conduct endangering life, aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and evading police.

They have been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

An 18-year-old from Thomastown was released pending further enquiries.
