The Whittlesea Community Leadership Program makes its return in October.

The program, now in its second year, is aimed at residents wanting to lead community projects, establish personal and professional connections and learn more about local government.

Reshmy Radhamony, from Epping, is a graduate of the inaugural program and now holds the title of the Justice of the Peace at Austin Health where she is the associate nurse unit manager.

She said the program was a great opportunity to increase her skills and fast track career development.

“When I initially enrolled in the program, I didn’t know what community leadership covered. But I have now been able to apply the theory to both my professional and personal life,” Ms Reshmy said.

The program has a blend of online and in-person sessions, and harnesses a strong focus on practical skills and interpersonal development.

Expressions of interest for the program are open until Tuesday September 26 via the City of Whittlesea website.
