Whittlesea artists have banded together to bring the cancelled Community Festival to households across the municipality – virtually.
The annual festival was to be held at the Whittlesea Public Gardens in March but was cancelled to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Since then, local artists have delivered performances and recordings from their homes to ensure the community doesn’t miss out.
The virtual festival includes Lockdown by Bonkel Theatre, Waternests by Brett Lee, Complimentary Caravan by Rose Turtle Ertler, Trouble by Heather Fiona, French songs by Amie Brûlée, The Dreaming Space (magic, storytelling and music for kids), and Supper by the Snails by Carolyn Connors. The festival is MC’d by Diana Nguyen.
