The Fawkner Street upgrade in Westmeadows has entered its second phase, with construction starting on the northern end.
Phase two of the works will deliver a refurbished bus stop and a new footpath on the northern end of the street.
While these works are being completed, there will be minor changes to how you access the northern bus stop, although buses continue to operate as usual.
The phase two upgrades also include two more accessible pedestrian crossings, re-laid bluestone kerb, new street furniture, lighting, bins, bollards and plants.
According to Hume council, most of the phase one works are complete, including a fully refurbished bus stop on the southern side of Fawkner Street, new bluestone kerb and paving, upgraded stormwater pits, and accessible pedestrian crossings.
The project which costs $650,000 is being delivered by council in partnership with the state government, to enhance the Fawkner Street village precinct.
Construction started in November and is set to be completed in February.
