A popular forum run by Whittlesea council is taking a digital turn this year.
The Bringing Up Kids Expo, which each year gives parents and carers tips, hints and tricks for raising their kids, will run through Facebook from September 8-10.
The expo will include seminars, online activities and interactive fun and games.
Council’s chair administrator Lydia Wilson said content would be posted over the course of the expo.
“The Bringing Up Kids expo brings together family support agencies to provide information on services, programs and events offered in the city of Whittlesea for your family, and it’s a really popular annual event,” Ms Wilson said.
“Lockdowns mean we’ve had to get creative with our delivery this year, but we’re excited to still be able to run the event online.
“It’s really important to stay connected in these challenging times, and we hope lots of families can join us to access valuable information, tips, advice and support on raising children.”
The council has flagged the Yarra Plenty Regional Library Storytime, parenting information sessions from local family support agencies, and sensory play experiences as potential highlights for both parents and their children.
The council said it is hoped that an in-person event can be held later in the year, COVID-19 restrictions permitting.
The expo can be attended digitally through the City of Whittlesea Facebook page.
