By Laura Michell

Police are investigating two armed robberies in Craigieburn in which the victims were threatened with knives.

Fawkner Embona detectives have been told a man was on the front porch of an Admiration Drive home when another man walked past about 7.15pm on February 1.

The man walked past a few other houses before returning and threatening the victim, a 38-year-old man, with a knife.

He stole the victim’s phone and wallet before leaving on foot.

Detectives believe the same man may have been involved in another armed robbery on Domain Way later that night.

A 34-year-old man told police he was walking on Domain Way, near Bandicoot Road, about 9pm when he was confronted by a man.

The man blocked the victim’s path before threatening him with a knife and stealing his phone.
