Two more charged over fatal Prahran stabbing

Police have charged two more men in relation to a fatal stabbing in Prahran last month.

A 21-year-old Campbellfield man and a 22-year-old Roxburgh Park man were arrested on Wednesday April 30 and interviewed by police.

The Campbellfield man has been charged with a string of offences including affray, intentionally causing injury, attempted robbery, common law assault, drug and explosive possession, handling stolen goods, and failing to provide a phone PIN.

He was already on bail and faced Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on May 1.

The Roxburgh Park man has been charged with affray, intentionally causing injury, attempted robbery and failing to provide a PIN.

He was bailed to appear in court on May 2.

Police executed a warrant at a Campbellfield property, seizing what is believed to be drugs, ammunition, stolen goods and fireworks.

The charges follow an alleged altercation outside a Chapel Street venue in the early hours of Sunday, April 20.

A 30-year-old Mickleham man was chased and assaulted by a group of men and sustained multiple stab wounds.

He died while being transported to hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward.
