Two men charged following death of Thomastown death

Two men have been charged following the death of a man in Thomastown earlier this month.

A 43-year-old Lalor man, who was wanted in relation to the incident, handed himself into police on July 21.

The man has been charged with aggravated burglary, common law assault and theft.

He has been remanded to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 18.

A 45-year-old Glenroy man was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated burglary – person present, theft and common law assault.

Police were called to the stabbing of a 36-year-old Doreen man at a Victoria Drive address on Thursday, July 11.

Medical assistance was provided to the Doreen man however he died at the scene.
