Two charged over alleged home invasion in Thomastown

Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged a man and a woman following an alleged aggravated home invasion in Thomastown early Wednesday morning.

Investigators have been told three people, armed with a knife, forced entry to a home on The Boulevard in Thomastown shortly before 4am.

Once inside the premises the people allegedly made demands for drugs, before realising they had the wrong address, police said.

They fled the scene prior to police attending.

Two residents home at the time were uninjured.

A 19-year-old Truganina man has been charged with aggravated home invasion, fail to disclose pin code, intentionally cause injury, and two counts of assault police.

A 24-year-old Donnybrook woman has been charged with aggravated home invasion, robbery, commit offences whilst on bail and fail to provide pin.

Both were remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on January 25.

Police are still searching for the third person.
