Two charged following alleged aggravated carjacking

Two men have been arrested following an alleged carjacking in Roxburgh Park last week.

Police said a rideshare driver was dropping off passengers in Cleeland Court when an altercation occurred shortly before 1am on Tuesday, April 13.

It is alleged the driver, a 47-year-old Altona Meadows man, was stabbed multiple times before his car was stolen.

He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police executed two search warrants in Broadmeadows and Dallas this morning.

A 19-year-old Dallas man is expected to be charged with 33 offences including aggravated carjacking, intentionally causing injury and a range of other offences including unrelated burglary and theft charges.

An 18-year-old Broadmeadows man is expected to be charged with eight offences, including aggravated carjacking, intentionally causing injury, and other offences.

The men are expected to face Melbourne Magistrates Court this evening.
