Townhouse fire in Meadow Heights

Neighbours suffered smoke inhalation when a townhouse caught fire in Meadows Heights this morning.

Firefighters were called to the Kenley Court address at about 9am on October 2.

The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished within 30 minutes.

Paramedics treated a male and female for smoke inhalation at the scene before the female was taken to hospital.

FRV said considerable damage was caused to the townhouse but the fire was stopped from spreading to nearby units, with two suffering minor smoke damage.

FRV firefighters remained on scene throughout the morning to overhaul and extinguish any remaining hotspots.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
