Three men charged following Greenvale drive-by shooting

Police have charged three men as part of an investigation into an alleged drive-by shooting in Greenvale last month.

Police will allege that a firearm was discharged from a vehicle into a residence on Motherwell Avenue in Greenvale on Sunday, July 11.

Police said as the vehicle drove away from the scene, it is alleged that an occupant at the residence fired several shots back at the vehicle.

Police said nobody was injured at the residence, in the vehicle, or in Motherwell Avenue at the time.

Detectives executed search warrants in Pascoe Vale and Collingwood this morning as part of their investigation.

A 20-year-old Collingwood man was arrested and subsequently charged with discharging a firearm at a premises – reckless to any person.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court later today.

A 30-year-old Greenvale man and a 26-year-old Greenvale man have previously been charged in relation to the incident.

They will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
