Three charged after alleged affray at Northern Hospital

Three Roxburgh Park men have been charged following an alleged affray at Northern Hospital in Epping.

Police said a group of about 15 people were outside when three of them attempted to enter the Cooper Street hospital to see a patient just after midnight on Monday, September 27.

Staff asked the group to leave and an altercation took place, according to police.

Two police officers and three security guards were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after the affray, police said.

Three Roxburgh Park men, aged 38, 41, and 47 have each been charged with affray, two counts of recklessly causing injury, five counts of assault in company, two counts of assaulting police (indictable) and other assault related offences.

The men have been bailed to appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates Court on February 28, 2022.
