Thomastown man involved in hit and run collision

Detectives have interviewed and released a 26-year-old Thomastown man over an alleged hit and run collision which occurred in Reservoir on Sunday, June 11.

Police were told a 57-year-old man from Preston was crossing the intersection of Spring and Edwardes streets when he was struck by a car at about 9.50pm.

The Preston man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It’s alleged the driver then drove off but returned 30 minutes later.

The Thomastown man was arrested at the scene and subsequently released pending further enquiries after being interviewed on Monday.
