Thomastown bike impounded

Police have impounded a Harley-Davidson motorcycle following a routine intercept in Thomastown on Wednesday night.

The bike was intercepted on Edgars Road and the rider, a 36-year-old man from Thomastown, was spoken to by police.

The bike, which allegedly belongs to an associate, was found to be unregistered and was impounded at costs of $846.10.

Police first noticed the bike being ridden on the Western Ring Road in Keilor East at about 7.30pm.

The rider is expected to be charged on summons for the use of an unregistered motor vehicle and driving unlicensed.
