Telstra is here to help

With cost-of-living pressures rising, Telstra has upped its support for Aussies doing it tough, including those in Hume and Whittlesea, with a recently expanded offer of up to 6-months free pre-paid credit.

ACCAN research from this year revealed that 1 in 5 Australians have missed phone or internet payments due to financial constraints, while others have had to sacrifice essentials like food or medicine to pay their bills. In response to rising cost of living pressures. In response, Telstra has expanded its partnership with leading not-for-profit organisation, Infoxchange, to keep struggling Aussies connected through its Top-Up Program, providing up to 6 months free phone credit.

The recently expanded Telstra Top-Up program: provides Australians in tough circumstances with a $160 recharge with 70GB of data that is valid for six months, and can be accessed through over 750 community agencies and providers that use Infoxchange’s services, including Anglicare, Salvation Army and Save The Children. Initially designed for people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or natural disasters, the program is now being extended to include Australians in need of financial assistance who may also be facing food insecurity, mental health challenges or a disability.

Telstra encourages anyone doing it tough to access a wide and flexible range of temporary and long-term assistance additional options that can help Aussies stay connected.
